The Jet Reds
The Jet Reds, a 4 piece indie/rock combo from the North East.
All are call centre workers by day, but away from the mundanity of the daily grind, are also best mates and musicians who love nothing more than tearing through their conveyor belt of edgy, punchy indie rock tunes in the rehearsal room and on stage.
The lads’ first album ‘What We’re Looking For’ was recorded long before this line up of the band even existed and was produced by the charismatic Manchester based record producer Mike Bennett (The Specials, Ian Brown, The Fall), after a bizarre drinking session in the city that gave birth to many of the bands biggest influences such as Oasis and The Stone Roses, culminated in a chance encounter with Mike. The album featured music luminaries such as Neville Staple (The Specials, Fun Boy 3) and Dianne Charlemagne (Moby, Goldie), however the band have since diverted quite heavily from the melodic indie-pop sound that was created on the first record and have firmly settled into a new sound with a punkier edge and high energy music about everything from love and lust to desperation and delight.
2021 has already seen the band release their single "Pamela" and it is the first of 4 that are all recorded and ready to go this year!
